The Diamond Necklace” tells the story about middle class couple Mr&Mrs Loise. The husband is clerk in a Ministry of the Public and one day he obtains an invitation to the grand ball with rich people. The women is always upset about her poverty and embarrassed to go to the ball because of she had not any good dresses and necklace to wear. Her husband, who always tries to make her happy gave his all money dress and advised to lend jewellery from her friend Madame Frostier.
